Once you decide to have your diploma framed, you begin to think of how you’d like the finished piece to look. What type of moulding will look best, walnut or black wood? Where will you hang it, living room or reading room?
But, you should not forget another important consideration - the glazing.
Glazing, either glass or acrylic, provides best protection of your diploma from prolonged exposure to sunlight, dirt and mold. Sunlight can cause fading and other damage over time. Dust, dirt and possible mold also pose a threat for your precious diploma
Glass glazing usuaully falles into the following catagories:
- Regular: no protection from sunlight, but does keep out dust, fingerprints, and other hazards.
- Ultraviolet (UV) Filtering: A coating of UV filtering protection is added to the surface of the glass. It acts like a sunglass to your eyes for your diploma.
- Non-Glare: Etched on one or both sides and scatters
- reflections; it both lowers reflections and light transmission.
- Anti-Reflective: Either coated or non-coated and absorbs
- light to reduce reflection; it lowers reflections and increases transmission for higher clarity.
Acrylic is another option. Often, this is a good choice if you are concerned with safety, since it is shatter-resistant.
Also, acrylic is more lightweight than glass.
The various options range in cost. Your choice depends on the needs of diploma. We would make the best choice for you while we listen.

Stacking is to combine two or more mouldings into one single frame. Stacked diploma frames add dimension and vitality to the home décor, which cannot be attained by a single moulding.
Stacked moulding projects the diploma frame out of the complanate wall. It breaks the dull routine tradition and possesses striking visual appeal.
There are a variety of stacked moulding in different styles, including flat, scoop, and reverse mouldings. Once put into good use, stacked moulding can magically turn your diploma frame into a focus point in your room.

Another option is the French (decorated) mat. Adding a texture, color, or gold leaf to an original French mat brings vitality to the whole academic design. Deep and warm color of the earth and dark color like the eggplant, mossy green and crimson are best fitted for the French mat.
There are various colors optional for textured mats. These days, soothing yellow-greens, bright golden browns, and tender purples are the most popular ones. Besides, lavender is gradually replacing gray as the favorite soft mat color for diploma frames
